Motorheads Car Show & Swap Meet is held in South Central Texas each June. The area is rich in history, attractions and events. If you are planning on attending Motorheads Car Show from a distance away, consider some of the other activities you may wish to plan while you're here!
Motorheads Performance has compiled a list of local hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts and campgrounds for those needing accomodations. Those in Gonzales will be closest to the car show itself, while staying in Seguin (1/2 hr away) will be convenient if you are planning on visiting some of the other great area attractions. Motorheads Car Show is held in Gonzales, Texas. Gonzales itself is rich in history and is famous for it's "Come and Take It" festivities which celebrate the battle which started the fight for Texas' independence. The town has a historic district filled with old homes of beautiful architectures.
Motorheads Car Show grounds are a bit over an hour south of Austin, a city rich in music history and the arts. Austin is the home of great musicians such as Stevie Ray Vaughn. The city boasts an enviable reputation of having the most live music anywhere in the country. About an hour and a half West you'll find historic San Antonio - home of the world-famous Riverwalk and the Alamo. New Braunfels is home of the first-class water resort Schlitterbahn
which has been named one of the top water parks in the country. If you like something different, try "tubing the river" and enjoying the beautiful parks and picnic grounds along the Guadalupe River. Just next door, you'll find the cozy little town of Gruene where quaint shops and antique stores line both sides of the main streets in town. Diners don't despair, all of these great cities and towns have quite a selection of outstanding barbeque and restaurants. And, for those who
just love to shop, there is no place like the San Marcos Prime Outlet Malls.
This gigantic shopping mall(s) have every imaginable designer and specialty store. Second only to the Riverwalk in popularity of Texas tourist attractions, the outlet stores attract people literally from all over the world!
With all this, don't forget Motorheads Car Show! The Motorheads' Girls will be your show guides for the day-long event. We've got activities for the kids (and you can always take them for a walk next door to the JB Wells Arena where the National Barrel Horse Association will be holding an event which is free of charge for spectators!) Hot food and barbeque and relaxation under the Pavilion will make for an enjoyable
day. We've even got a few surprises in store for you at the Awards Ceremony. And finally, for your entertainment, The Harleys will provide live music and dance following the show from 5-8 pm under the Pavilion.
